What is Phase 2?
Phase 2, the Integration Phase, requires taxpayers to integrate their e-invoicing systems with ZATCA's Fatoora platform. This allows for real-time clearance of B2B invoices and reporting of B2C invoices within 24 hours.
Unlike Phase 1, Phase 2 is being rolled out in specific "Waves" based on the taxpayer's revenue size.
Phase 2 Advanced Requirements
UBL 2.1 XML Format
Invoices must be generated in specific XML format adhering to UBL 2.1 standards.
Cryptographic Stamp
Every invoice requires a unique cryptographic stamp issued by ZATCA.
UUID
A Universally Unique Identifier must be attached to every document to prevent tampering.
API Integration
Direct API connection with ZATCA for clearance and reporting pipelines.
